I was born in Blackburn in 1981 and have lived here ever since. Between 1998 and 2000 I studied BTEC National Diploma, General Art and Design at Blackburn College, specializing in Three-Dimensional Design.

In 2000 I deferred a place on the Buckinghamshire New University, Contemporary Furniture Design course in favor of my music career.

For 4 years, between my college and university education I was signed to Virgin Records as Drummer and vocalist with The ‘Burn, releasing 3 top 100 Singles and 1 album. During this time I was lucky enough to play at the Isle of Wight, V and Glastonbury festivals and support Oasis, Paul Weller and Ian Brown on their UK tours. The highlight of my career was playing exclusive support to The Rolling Stones at the Paris Olympia.

In 2005 I returned to my design education at Manchester Metropolitan University where I studied BA Three-Dimensional Design.

In July 2008 I graduated with First Class Honours.
